Brief description of your daily responsibilities: Each day at work I care for a team of patients on the oncology unit. I perform daily nursing assessments, administer medication and work with a team of health care professionals in developing care plans for cancer patients. Last year, I became certified by the state of Missouri in administering chemotherapy to oncology patients.

Your career goals: I plan on working on the Oncology unit for a couple more years to gain experience in patient care, then continuing my education in nursing by returning to school and earning a master's degree in nursing and one day becoming a nurse practitioner.

Hobbies: Dancing, reading suspense novels, scrap-booking and learning how to cook

Favorite childhood memory: In the fifth grade when I won the student council election for vice president and later that night my parents threw me an ice cream party with all of my friends to celebrate my victory!

Five things you would like to accomplish in this lifetime:

1. Return to school as a graduate student and earn a master's degree in nursing and one day become a nurse practitioner. 
2. Establish a family, raise wonderful children and watch them grow into successful adults.
3. Travel the world, visiting as many countries as I can.
4. Learn a second language.
5. After I accomplish all of my goals, I want to retire with my husband somewhere on the beach
