Your career goals:
I would love to attend graduate school and work towards a Ph.D. in psychology.  I aspire to remain in both academic and clinical settings, teaching, working with patients and performing research.

Hobbies: I love to bowl, spend time with friends and family, cooking, art, watching movies, taking care of my two cats and bird, traveling, meeting new people and experiencing new things.

Favorite childhood memory: I was born in Texas and lived there until I was about two years old. I remember in the summertime, riding on the back of my dad’s bike at dusk and picking the tiger lilies that grew through the neighbor’s fence.

Something interesting about you or your family others may not know:  Coming from Catholic families, my paternal grandfather is from a family of 14 children and my paternal grandmother is from a family of 11. There were also nine children in my mother’s family, so I have an incredibly large number of relatives.

Five things you would like to accomplish in this lifetime:

1. Write and publish a book at the completion of my graduate degree.
2. Visit as many countries as possible.
3. Learn as many languages as I can.
4. Establish a productive and enjoyable career.
5. Marry the love of my life, have children and create a home.

One word to describe yourself: passionate

What is the first thing you would do after winning the lottery? I would first pay off my parents’ homes as a sign of appreciation for everything that they have done for me.

Interesting places you have visited: Italy (Rome, Florence, Sienna, Pisa), Monaco, France (Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Cannes, Nice, Paris, Lyon), Japan (Tokyo, Okinawa), Grand Cayman, Mexico

What is in your CD player right now? Journey’s Greatest Hits, track number two specifically - “Don’t Stop Believin’”.

Something you feel very strongly about: I feel incredibly strongly about taking steps necessary to better the environment.  It truly is crucial that people recognize what needs to be done and take action in order to preserve the world for our children and their children to come.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I always wanted to be a veterinarian for larger, more exotic animals. That ambition soon changed to becoming a professional ballet dancer. I also have a lot of family in the medical profession, so I have always been interested in medicine.

If you could have any animal as a pet, what animal would you choose?  I would love to own a horse. I think they are incredibly beautiful, powerful animals.

Your favorite subject:
Elementary School – Sciences/Math
High School – French, Sciences/Math
College – Psychology, French, Sciences/Math

One movie that you could watch over and over:  I could watch anything with Will Ferrell over and over. Also, the Rocky series, especially Rocky IV.

Your favorite charity:  American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, anysoldier.com

Favorite childhood cartoon: I really enjoyed the classic Disney movies such as Sleeping Beauty, Robin Hood, Beauty and the Beast, the Little Mermaid, and all of the others.

As a role model, what do you hope children will learn from you? I hope they learn to find an appreciation for everything in their lives, to truly cherish the opportunities that they are given and to value what they are capable of accomplishing
